Biographical or Historical Information
Maryland Independent College and University Association (MICUA) was founded in the early 1970s by several presidents of Maryland's independent colleges and universities. The organization promote's Maryland's independent college's and universities through research and lobbying the Maryland Legislature for grant's for these institutions who serve more than 63,000 of Maryland's post secondary school students and award 30% of all degrees earned in the State of Maryland.
