Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The Music Department Records consist of three series. In series one, there are materials regarding curriculum and student publications, including student-composed sheet music and thesis papers. This series is organized chronologically, ranging from 1956 to 2003. In series two, there are materials regarding performances. This includes performance programs as well as recording of musical performances on CD, DVD, VHS, and cassette tapes. These are organized chronologically, ranging from 1940 to 2019 . The third series includes materials regarding departmental development. This includes department evaluations, materials on the renovations on Levine Hall, and materials regarding the development of the music department faculty. Within this series there is a sub-series on outside communications with the music department. This includes newspapers and correspondence with other departments and other colleges. This series is organized chronologically, ranging from 1990 to 2013.
